Manisha gets stay on release of ‘Ek Chhoti...’

Mumbai, September 5
Manisha Koirala The Bombay High Court today stayed the release of ‘Ek Chhoti Si Love Story” till October 5. The order followed a review petition moved by actress Manisha Koirala taking objection to some “obscene’’ scenes in the movie. A single-judge Bench had earlier rejected Manisha’s petition in this regard. The film was slated to hit screens across the country tomorrow.

A Division Bench comprising Mr Justices R.M. Lodha and Dilip Bhosale stayed the release of the film until Koirala’s appeal was finally heard and disposed of. Admitting the appeal, the Bench said: “In our view the matter requires consideration.” The judges asked Koirala to give an undertaking that she would not seek any relief or damages from the producer.
