SAD submits complaint to CM
Tribune News Service

Chandigarh, July 8
The SAD which has been feeling demoralised following the registration of corruption cases against certain leaders of the party by the Amarinder Singh Government, has started building up a counter-attack against the Congress Government and its important leaders.

The strategy to strike back against Capt Amarinder Singh’s Government was devised at a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee of the SAD held here yesterday.

As many as 12 SAD MLAs today submitted a joint complaint to the Chief Minister, Capt Amarinder Singh, seeking action against four former Congress ministers and a senior IAS officer. The government has been given 30 days to take action after which the SAD would take a legal recourse.

Releasing copies of the complaint to mediapersons today SAD spokesman Manpreet Singh Badal said that action under separate provisions of the IPC and the Prevention of Corruption Act had been sought against Mr Lal Singh, Mr Shamsher Singh Dullo, Mr Bal Mukand Sharma, Mr Lakhmir Singh Randhawa on the basis of the findings of the Lokpal. They were ministers in the Beant Singh Government. Mr Lal Singh now is the Finance Minister in the Amarinder Singh Government.

The IAS officer against whom action has been sought is Mr Sarvesh Kaushal. Copies of the complaints against each of the four Congress leaders have also been sent to the ADGP (Vigilance Bureau), Mr A.P. Pandey. Each of these complaints has been signed by four SAD MLAs.
