India: Kashmir no Palestine in making

New Delhi, June 25
India today outright rejected Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf’s remark that the Kashmir problem was “another Palestine in the making”, asserting that the two situations were “worlds apart”.

“We have absolutely rejected this. The two situations are worlds apart,” an External Affairs Ministry spokesperson told reporters when her comments were sought to Musharraf’s comments in an interview to the newspaper ‘Independent’.

“I keep telling the USA and everyone that we must understand the dangers of this region. We must do that. Otherwise, there is another Palestine here in the making,” Musharraf had said. PTI
