Petrol, diesel prices hiked

Mumbai, June 15
The state-owned Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum have decided to raise the retail selling prices of petrol and diesel by 23 to 30 paise per litre, effective tonight.

The new prices of petrol will be: Delhi — Rs 29.18 per litre, Kolkata — Rs 29.63, Mumbai — Rs 33.72 and Chennai — Rs 31.30. The diesel prices in Delhi would be Rs 18.23 per litre. PTI

CHANDIGARH (TNS): The prices of petrol and diesel will rise by 28 paise and 26 paise per litre, respectively, in the city, according to Mr Amanpreet Singh, general secretary of the Chandigarh Petroleum Dealers Association.
