The Tribune’s 122nd milestone February 2 has special significance for The Tribune as it enters its 122nd year of publication today. The sapling planted by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia on this day in 1881 has grown into a banyan tree. On October 20, 2001, a new dimension was added to its growth with the launch of the NCR edition from Delhi. On this auspicious occasion, we pay our tributes to our founder and thank the readers for their patronage, support and involvement. As a liberal value-based newspaper, we will continue to reflect the aspirations of the people and highlight freely and fearlessly the problems and issues concerning
them.
