And now ‘Chautala Chalisa’

Rohtak, July 25
INLD workers in Haryana may soon recite “Chautala Chalisa” in their morning prayers along with the “Hanuman Chalisa”.

A vast majority of INLD supporters are basically followers of Lord Hanuman. However, some partymen have got “Chautala Chalisa” written by a Narwana-based poet.

Interestingly, the entire male lineage of Mr Om Prakash Chautala finds mention in it. “Ajay, Abhey do puttar veera, manuj van mein jant do shera”. “Ik Bansi puttar ko mehi sunghave, doojo Rori mein dhwaj fehrave”, the “chalisa” goes.

Finance Minister Sampat Singh, Urban Development Minister Dhirpal Singh and ministers Ashok Kumar Arora, Kartar Singh Bhadana and Jaswinder Singh have been projected, among others, as worshippers of the Chief Minister.

“Sampat Dhirpal tumhaara, nishdin gun gaaven, Ashok, Kartar, Jaswinder charnan chit laavein”.

The Chautala “arti” ends with the promise that those who worships him daily will be rewarded with the fulfilment of their ambitions. “Shri Chautala ji ki arti har din jo gaave; swayn mile use Aa kar, man banchhit kaam ho jaave”.

The “chalisa” was distributed to newspersons who had gone to Bhiwani on Tuesday to cover a state-level “pragati diwas samaroh” organised to mark the completion of two-year rule of the Chautala government.

The other “Lals” of Haryana politics have been denigraded in the “chalisa”. “Bhajan Lal ko jad se ukhaara, Bansi Lal bhee aap se haara”. “Sarbjan tumharo jash gaavein. Bansi Bhajan ka dukh bisraaven”.Back
