Mosque siege ends, all ultras shot
Srinagar, June 12
All six militants of the Lashkar-e-Toiba, four of them foreigners, holed up in a mosque at Shangus in Anantnag district of south Kashmir, were killed during a 36-hour operation which concluded late last night. An Army jawan was killed while two were injured in the operation.

India, Bangladesh begin border talks

In a bid to resolve the unresolved issues of the more than 4000-km common border, India and Bangladesh today began discussions to finalise the terms of reference for the two joint boundary working groups.

A 280-km range surface-to-surface supersonic cruise missile, which uses propulsion from Russia and an Indian guidance system, was today successfully test-fired from the interim test range on the Orissa coast here.
