Tension in Lucknow Lucknow, June 5 The injured included an Additional District Magistrate, several policemen and journalists. Their vehicles were also torched by the angry protesters. State Principal Secretary (Home), Mr Naresh Dayal, told newsmen this evening that three guilty policemen had been arrested and sent to jail and Rs 2 lakh paid to the family of the deceased. The incident, which apparently followed by a minor tiff between the youth, Naeem, and the policemen, spoiled the mood of the gathering on the occasion of barawafat and the tension immediately gripped major parts of the old city area. The police had to use force and fire in the air to disperse the agitated mob near the masjid.
