In a complete reversal of events, Ranjit Singh, son of SGPC chief J. S. Talwandi, sentenced to life imprisonment in a 1996 murder case, was acquitted by a Division Bench of the Punjab and Haryana High Court here today.

Institute suspends minister’s son

The SGPC-run Guru Ram Dass Institute of Medical Sciences today suspended four MBBS students, including Amarpal Singh, son of Dr Rattan Singh, Animal Husbandry Minister, for allegedly creating a ruckus in the boys hostel on Thursday night.
