Tribune News Service

Shimla, April 20
With the Chief Minister, Mr Prem Kumar Dhumal, now free from the nearly two-month-long Budget session of the Assembly, he is likely to order a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy and the police.

There are indications that the reshuffle might be ordered within the next two or three days. Some top-level bureaucrats, including Financial Commissioners, are likely to be replaced.

The Superintendents of Police of Una, Solan and Kangra districts are expected to be replaced. The Una and Solan police chiefs are going on deputation.

The seven rebels of the ruling BJP, including four ministers, are demanding the shifting of the Deputy Commissioner and the SP of Kangra district whom they have accused of registering cases against four of them. While the Kangra SP, Mr Prithvi Raj, is due for promotion as DIG.
