19 killed in Bihar poll violence
‘Might is right’ reigns supreme in second phase

At least 19 people, including three election officials and policeman, were killed and several injured in today’s second phase Bihar panchayat elections in which an estimated 60 per cent of the voters exercised their franchise.

In a bid to sort out its problems in Kerala, the Congress today conceded three more seats to the Karunakaran faction which had earlier been allotted to Antony supporters for the May 10 Assembly poll in the state.

Seven bodies recovered from canal
Hisar, April 15
Seven bodies were recovered from the Talwandi Rana minor at Mingni Khera village near here. The bodies were highly decomposed. These were noticed by villagers when water supply to the minor was restored yesterday after a long closure.
