To unveil plan of action today

In a calculated attempt to breathe life into the Congress which has remained adrift, party President Sonia Gandhi declared here today that she would unveil a plan of action in New Delhi tomorrow to liberate the country from the shackles of the corrupt, shameful and communal BJP-led National Democratic Alliance government.

RSS blames PMO for crisis
New Delhi, March 18
RSS chief K.S. Sudarshan today held “incompetent persons” in the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for the crisis triggered off by the Tehelka expose. Talking to newspersons on the concluding day of the three-day session of the RSS Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha, Mr Sudarshan said the Sangh had told the government time and again not to have incompetent persons in the PMO.

The entire Siwan area was sealed and the Army and paramilitary forces launched a massive combing operation on Sunday to arrest the controversial MP of Siwan, Md. Shahabuddin who has so far refused to surrender.


Lion dies after vasectomy
Nahan, March 18
A male lion, Raju in Renuka Lion Safari, has died following a vasectomy operation by veterinary surgeons.
According to official sources, the operation was conducted by two qualified veterinary surgeons and one Professor and head of the clinic of the College of Animal and Veterinary Science, HPKVV.
