Centre extends J&K ceasefire
 
Rein in LeT, Islamabad told

NEW DELHI, Jan 23 — The Vajpayee government today extended the ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir by another month thereby affording a fresh opportunity to Pakistan to end militancy and rein in the Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad militant organisations.

JAMMU, Jan 23 — The suspense is over. The Indian Government has extended the ceasefire, which was enforced on November 27, by another month to enable New Delhi to get added political mileage over Pakistan in the world.

Over 2 cr pilgrims reach Prayag
KUMBHNAGAR, (Allahabad), Jan 23 — Over two crore pilgrims have already reached Prayag Raj till today evening to take a holy dip at Sangam tomorrow on “Mauni Amavasya” at the Mahakumbh mela. Of these about 75 lakh pilgrims took a holy dip at Sangam to mark “Shiv Chauterdashi” today.
