Salman, Bharat interrogated MUMABI, Dec 16 (PTI) — Salman Khan, hero of the controversial film ‘Chori Chori Chupke Chupke’, its director duo Abbas-Mastan and financier Bharat Shah today appeared before the Crime Branch in connection with the arrest of the film’s producer Nasim Rizvi for his alleged links with the underworld. Shah appeared before the Crime Branch for the second consecutive day today. Before the interrogation, Shah told reporters that he had invested Rs 12 crore in the movie and denied any knowledge of the underworld don Chhota Shakeel financing the film. BMW. Salman was mobbed by a bevy of photographers as he stepped out of the car. The star also earned the wrath of photographers for his driver’s rash driving in the premises of the Crime Branch to evade a battery of cameramen. He was immediately whisked to a room. Abbas and Mastan, the director duo of the film, which has been seized by the police stalling its release, too were interrogated by the sleuths. Commissioner of Police M.N. Singh had yesterday categorically stated that all those connected with the film would be summoned for interrogation. |
Youths attack
Manoj’s house NEW DELHI, Dec 16 — Seven unidentified youths tried to barge into the flat of former cricket all-rounder, Manoj Prabhakar in Nehru Enclave in South Delhi and assaulted the security guard deployed outside the complex. This is the second attack at the residence of the former all-rounder this year. A few months back some persons attacked at the beauty parlour of his wife in Greater Kailash Market in the same area. Manoj Prabhakar filed a complaint today at Kalkaji police station about the attack at his residence. However, the police had confirmed the incident but did not give the details. The police said, “We have sent constables to get details of the incident. We will also ask the PSO provided to the cricketer for more information”. |
