CBI to examine Bibi today NEW DELHI, Nov 23 — The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) chief, Bibi Jagir Kaur, is to be examined again tomorrow by officials of the CBI in connection with her daughter, Harpreet Kaur’s murder case. It was the second time she had been summoned by the CBI for questioning. The first time she appeared before the agency on November 13 she was grilled for nearly three hours. Harpreet Kaur was allegedly murdered on April 20 this year. Seven persons including Jagir Kaur, have been named in the FIR. Accept the SGPC chief, who is on bail, all other accused are in judicial custody. She was granted anticipatory bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on November 15. The CBI sources said the anticipatory bail order given to her is also being examined. An application might also be moved in the court by the agency for its cancellation. The CBI on November 13 changed the charge against Jagir Kaur from 304 IPC (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) to 302 IPC (murder) after questioning about 20 persons, including six arrested. |
