UNEARTHING THE MYSTERIES OF
C H H A T


Chhat ‘on the Ghaggar’ is an old town. The Ain-i-Akbari lists it as one of the 33 mahals (revenue estates) of the sarkar of Sirhind, in the suba of Delhi. Chhat was destroyed in 1711.
