PM delays US trip by 2 days NEW DELHI, Aug 30 (Reuters) — Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has delayed by two days next month's visit to the USA on the advice of his doctors, the Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday. The Foreign Ministry said that Mr Vajpayee would leave for the UN and the USA on September 7 instead of September 5. It said his programme in New York from September 8 was unchanged, but he would skip a scheduled visit to San Francisco and proceed directly to Washington, where his programme was expected to be as planned. Vajpayee will take part in the United Nations Millennium Summit and also make a state visit in Washington. |
