6 peacocks die
in Jhabua
JHABUA (MP),
July 13 (PTI) — Close on the heels of the death of 80 peacocks in
Morena district of Madhya Pradesh over the past few days, six peacocks
died after consuming chemically treated soyabean at a village in Jhabua
district of the state yesterday, a veterinary official said
today. Regional Veterinary Officer K.S. Sharma told PTI here that the
post-mortem report suggested that the six birds had consumed chemically
treated soyabean. The viscera has been sent to the forensic laboratory
in Sagar for detailed analysis of the cause of the peacocks’ death, he
added. |
