Parliament to decide on J&K resolution
NEW DELHI, June 27 — The Union Home Minister, Mr L.K. Advani, today desisted from commenting on the autonomy resolution adopted by the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly stating the issue would be considered by the Centre and decided by Parliament.

Council okays autonomy report
SRINAGAR, June 27 — The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister said here today that a ministerial team would be sent to different states in the country to meet representatives of various parties to project his party’s viewpoint on the autonomy issue.

Vital defence file missing
NEW DELHI, June 27 (UNI, PTI) — The all-important file containing a government order eliminating middlemen in the defence purchases is missing hampering the Central Vigilance Commissioner’s probe.

DSP injured in demolition drive
JALANDHAR June 27—Demolition of seven roadside mazaars and a temple during the night-long “anti-encroachment” operation carried out by the local Municipal Corporation authorities culminated in rioting, tension, and brick-batting between irked residents of certain localities in the city and police officials this morning.
