SILENT SENTINELS OF NAWALGARH

Photographs by the writerRanbir Singh travels to Nawalgarh where one sees two distinct styles of traditional haveli architecture: the purely Indian and partly Indian and partly European style. The earlier havelis, situated mostly to the north of the east-west axis of the town, were constructed in the traditional style whose main features are intricate carvings and extensive mural work.
