APHC leader Gillani arrives
in Delhi NEW DELHI, May 2 The All-Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) chairman, Mr S.A.S. Gillani, arrived here today to evolve a credible response to the Centres offer of talks. While former Hurriyat chairman Mirvaiz Umar Farooq and Muslim Conference leader A.G. Bhat are already in the Capital, Mr Gillanis coming here assumes significance, sources said. Mr Gillani is likely to visit the Pakistan High Commission to meet officials there. Maulvi Farooq and Prof Bhat had met a top official of the Pakistan High Commission yesterday. The presence of some of
the top Hurriyat leaders in the Capital, according to
diplomatic sources, is a beginning of a process which may
eventually help to establish the channels of
communications. |
Revised Samjhauta schedule NEW DELHI, May 2 As a result of the coordination meeting between Indian and Pakistan Railways held at Wagah Border last week, the Samjhauta Express will run as per the following schedule from Thursday. According to a press statement issued by the Northern Railway here on Tuesday, the 4607 Up Samjhauta Express will leave Attari every Monday and Thursday at 11.30 am. Its arrival time at Wagah is noon and it will depart at 3.30 pm. It will arrive at Lahore at 4.15 pm. The 4608 Dn Samjhauta Express will leave Lahore every Tuesday and Friday at 8 am, arrive at Wagah at 8.30 am and depart at noon. It will arrive at Attari at 12.30 pm. For the next six months,
the 4002 Attari-Delhi Express will leave Attari on
Tuesday and Friday instead of Monday and Thursday. |
