No rollback of LPG price: govt NEW DELHI, April 24 (PTI)—The government does not propose to rollback the increase in prices of kerosene, LPG and aviation turbine fuel effected on March 22 midnight, the Lok Sabha was told today. Stating this, Minister of State for Petroleum Santosh Gangwar said in a written reply that the OPEC member countries had agreed to increase the production of crude oil which could result in a fall in prices. They had also decided to review the decision in June this year. Prices of oil in the international market had an impact on the import bill and domestic prices, he stated. The estimated deficit in the oil pool account would come down by Rs 5,400 crore on an annual basis consequent to the recent revision of the sale prices of petroleum products, he added. |
