Rabri granted bail, Laloo sent to jail
PATNA, April 5 — Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi today got a major respite when a special court granted her bail after she and her husband Laloo Prasad Yadav surrendered shortly before non-bailable arrest warrants were to be issued against them in a disproportionate assets case.

Hijack probe: FBI chief offers help
NEW DELHI, April 5— FBI Director Louis Freeh today assured India of his organisation’s active assistance in the investigation of hijacking of Indian Airlines plane in December last. The FBI offer came during a meeting between Freeh and CBI Director RK Raghavan here, CBI sources said.

CM’s order to exhume bodies
SRINAGAR, April 5 — Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah today directed the District Magistrate of Anantnag to exhume the bodies of five persons killed at Pathribal on March 24 and establish their identities through “all necessary medical tests, including DNA tests.”

Fleecing by schools to be checked
SHIMLA, April 5 — The Himachal Pradesh Government is framing rules for regulating the fee structure of the private schools and adopting measures to check their functioning. This was stated by the Education Minister while replying to the issue of fleecing by certain schools which was raised by Mr Dharam Pal (Cong) under Rule 324 in the Vidhan Sabha today.
