RSS executive for change in leadership

NAGPUR, March 9 (PTI) — The day-long national executive of RSS here today is understood to have favoured a change of its leadership with organisation chief Rajendra Singh alias Rajju Bhaiyya and General Secretary H V Seshadri making way for new leaders.

It was felt at the executive meeting, ahead of the three-day governing body deliberations from tomorrow, that Rajju Bhaiyya and Seshadri, however, should remain in the RSS think-tank and continue to guide the rank and file of the organisation because of their vast experience and mature leadership, RSS sources here said.

Seshadri has completed two terms each of six years duration as RSS General Secretary and is reportedly not keeping in good health. The change of leadership is expected to be formally decided at the governing body meeting. The meeting, they said, favoured Rajju Bhaiyya and Seshadri pass on the baton to K Sudarshan, who is responsible for coordinating the activities of frontal outfits of RSS, and Mohan Bhagwat who is known for his organisational skills.
