SC reserves judgement on presidential reference

NEW DELHI, Oct 13 — The Supreme Court today reserved its verdict on the presidential reference raising nine questions regarding the consultation process to be adopted by the Chief Justice of India for the appointment of judges to the apex court and high courts after hearing three-day-long marathon arguments.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 13 — Pakistan has chalked out plans to conduct two-month long military exercises along the Indian border in Punjab and Sindh in which 60,000 troops and fighter planes will participate.
