Chandigarh, August 6

School Education and PWD Minister Vijay Inder Singla on Friday said the state government had decided to rename roads and schools after the Olympic medallists in their respective areas.

The minister said this initiative was a token of gratitude to honour their achievement. He said the Chief Minister had given an approval to rename the roads and schools and the officials concerned had been directed to initiate the process in this regard at the earliest. — TNS
