Commenting on the summoning of former CM Parkash Singh Badal by the SIT probing the Kotkapura firing case, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA and Kisan Wing state president Kultar Singh Sandhwan and senior leader Manwinder Singh Giaspura said ex-CM’s narco test must be conducted for proper investigation.

The AAP leaders alleged that the Capt Amarinder Singh-led Congress government was playing tricks to save the Badal family through a new SIT and was not giving any justice to the people.

In a statement issued from the party headquarters here on Tuesday, Sandhwan and Giaspura said the newly constituted SIT had again questioned Badal, who was also questioned by the previous investigation team. They alleged that it was nothing but the Captain government’s tactics of dramatising the entire process of investigation to save the culprits.

The leaders said Badal should undergo a narco test so that the probe was completely over forever. Sandhwan said politics had been going on for the last five years regarding the desecration of Guru Granth Sahib and the firing case. — TNS
